About Fredlena

Vision. Strategy. Systems. Legacy.

Fredlena M. Cosby is the Founder and Principal Strategist of Chayil Advisory Resource. She helps ministries, nonprofits, boards, and leadership teams bring order to vision, structure to leadership, and strength to what must last. Her work sits at the intersection of organizational psychology, communications, ministry systems, executive advisory, and legacy development — and it is shaped by more than two decades of experience in environments where the stakes are high and the margin for organizational disorder is low.

With a Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Fredlena understands what drives human behavior inside organizations. She brings a trained lens to leadership dynamics, team culture, communication patterns, motivation, performance, and the structural conditions that determine whether vision can be held and sustained over time. This is not theory for her — it is applied daily in the real complexity of ministry, nonprofit, and executive environments.

Her background includes clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse — which gave her a foundational discipline around care, documentation, urgency, and service — and director-level leadership in marketing and communications, where she built brand strategies, led campaigns, shaped organizational voice, and supported executive leadership with messaging and thought leadership positioning. She has served as Chief of Staff and Director of Ministry Operations, leading strategic operations, SOPs, governance systems, cross-departmental execution, and accountability workflows at the organizational level. She has also served on boards and provided advisory support to CEOs, bringing strategic perspective and decision clarity to the rooms where it matters most.

As the Founder of the Goshen Leadership Framework and Readiness Assessment, Fredlena has developed a proprietary process for helping organizations examine their own health through five key pillars: leadership readiness, operational health, communication flow, accountability structures, and care and stewardship. The Goshen Assessment gives organizations a compassionate, honest, and structured look at where they are — and a practical path forward toward where they need to be.

She also holds certificates in Ministry Consulting and Ministry Planting, bringing specific advisory preparation for the unique realities of ministry work — the relational weight, the governance gaps, the systems most ministry leaders were never trained to build, and the legacy stewardship that faithful leadership demands.

Her strength is helping leaders move from inspiration to implementation — with clarity, order, and systems that can carry what has been entrusted to them.

Who Fredlena Works With

Who Fredlena Works With

Fredlena works with leaders and organizations that are carrying vision but need clearer structure around what they are building. Her clients are typically at a transition point — growing, restructuring, navigating complexity, or preparing for a new season — and they need more than inspiration. They need someone who can help them think clearly, communicate effectively, and organize well.

She works with pastors, ministry leaders, nonprofit executives, board members, founders, department leaders, and senior leadership teams. She also works with organizations that are struggling internally — with communication gaps, undefined roles, unclear accountability, or systems that have not kept pace with where the organization is trying to go.

Her clients are often carrying more than they can see from where they are standing. They are smart, committed, and capable — but the complexity of leading people, managing systems, communicating clearly, and building for legacy all at once can become overwhelming without the right support.

Fredlena is a strong fit for leaders who are ready to move beyond inspiration and into implementation — who want the frameworks, language, structure, and strategic clarity to build something that lasts.

How Fredlena Works

How Fredlena Works

Fredlena begins by slowing down with leaders long enough to hear what is actually happening inside the organization. She listens for what is said and what is not. She asks questions that surface the real gaps — in communication, alignment, systems, leadership clarity, and sustainability. She uses the Goshen Leadership Framework as a structured lens for organizational review.

Her approach is both strategic and deeply practical. She helps leaders name the real challenge, clarify the desired outcome, organize the moving pieces, and develop a plan that people can actually follow. She is not interested in abstract strategy that stays on paper. She wants to help leaders build something that functions.

Fredlena does not believe vision should live only in a leader's heart or head. She works to help leaders translate vision into language, structure, workflows, tools, and repeatable systems — so the assignment can move forward even when the leader cannot personally hold every piece of it.

Her work often includes vision clarification, organizational assessment, leadership alignment, communication mapping, SOP development, ministry structure, board support, executive messaging, planning frameworks, and legacy readiness. Every engagement is tailored to where the leader and the organization actually are.
